During her years as a licensed psychologist, Dr. Apseloff has sought to deepen her knowledge and training in trauma treatment, attachment theory, and relational therapy principles, which she integrates with other evidence-based modalities like CBT and EMDR.

Dr. Apseloff guides her clients in understanding and healing the more in-depth and unconscious processes that occur in their lives. She works to offer her clients a variety of therapeutic interventions to support them in safely and confidently getting in touch with their inner world, and to access their own capacity for healing.

Dr. Apseloff is especially excited to now incorporate Ketamine Assisted Therapy to foster continued change, growth, and awareness for her clients in ways that have may have been inaccessible before. She deeply values the inherent wisdom within each individual and works from a neurodiversity-affirming lens.

Why I Do This Work

I deeply value joining with clients in the process of deepening their understanding of themselves and how they see the world. As a psychologist, I feel privileged to walk alongside my clients as they work to make connections between the struggles they experience currently and difficult experiences they have had in their past.

I find that I can be most helpful in our therapy when we work together to map out the terrain of their mind and together develop a conceptualization of what experiences, beliefs, emotions and conflicts contribute to their current strengths and struggles. My hope is that by helping someone deepen their understanding of themselves and to be curious and open to all parts of who they are, I can support them as they heal from past hurts and move into a space of self-compassion and acceptance.

While I have found that traditional talk therapy is of great value, I have found that progress can be blocked by the mind’s self-protective defensive structures, making it more difficult for clients to let their guards down and let the mind wander to where it needs to go in service of healing. Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy offers an opportunity to gently lower the mind’s defensive structures, inviting a deeper knowing and learning about the self, which further facilitates growth and healing.

I feel excited to offer clients the opportunity to deepen their connection to themselves and grow their capacity for change and healing.
